Product Description:

Genuine LG ADQ73693901 external inline fridge water filter from LG Electronics Australia (the old screw-type has been discontinued). The model number has changed to ADQ73693903 — it's the same filter. A 1/4-inch push-fit cartridge that fits all LG external fridge filter setups.

Reduces chlorine taste and odour for cleaner, fresher water and ice. (As with all built-in fridge filters, it does not remove fluoride.)

Installation (push-fit):

  1. Turn off the isolation valve on the fridge water line and draw a glass of water to depressurise. Keep a bucket and towel handy.
  2. Release the old filter by pressing the locking collar at each end and pulling out the supply line; discard it.
  3. Insert the new filter inlet side first (check flow direction). Flush about 5 litres through into a bucket to clear carbon fines, then connect the fridge line and run a further 2 litres.
  4. Mark the install date on the "Replacement Due" sticker inside the fridge door.

Filter indicator light:

  • Green — working normally
  • Orange — appears after 5 months; order a replacement
  • Red — appears after 6 months; replace now
    To reset after fitting a new filter, press and hold the ICE TIMER and ICE MODE buttons together for about 3 seconds until the light returns to green.

Important: For the filter to perform as intended, follow LG's recommended operation, maintenance and replacement procedures (failure to do so may void warranty).
