General Installation/Operation/Maintenance Requirements
_ Note flow direction of filter.
_ For quick connect fittings, push scratch free tube end into the fitting until it bottoms. Threaded fittings must be wrapped with Teflon_ tape before installation. Install Teflon_ taped fittings and tighten firm. Use two wrenches to firmly tighten tubing.
_ Flush new cartridge with 5 gallons of water prior to use and check for leaks. If leaks occur, check tightness of tubing and fittings. If leaks persist, discontinue use and call your supporting dealer.
_ Replace cartridge when rated capacity (1,000 gallons/6 months) is reached, or when flow becomes too slow.
_ Install in compliance with state and local laws and regulations.
Special Notices
_ The contaminants or other substances removed or reduced by this water treatment system are not necessarily in your water.
_ ADo not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.

If you think your Fisher & Paykel refrigerator takes this filter but are uncertain, please email us so we can confirm this for you. In order to keep your filter working most efficiently, refrigerator manufacturers generally recommend fridge water filters to be replaced every 6 months - or when the "change filter" light comes on.
When to change a filter: There is a replacement indicator light for the water filter cartridge on the dispenser. The filter cartridge should be replaced when the filter light comes on, or every 6 months, or if you notice a decrease in flow of water.
Important: It is essential that operation, maintenance and filter replacement be carried out in accordance with manufacture's recommended procedures and guidelines for this product to perform as advertised. Failure to do so may void warranty
